Jim Withers and Associates provides leadership development programs to all types of businesses and professional organizations. He provides a one on one executive coaching program and an executive team-coaching program in five important areas to enhance the quality of work performance within the organization:
1) Leadership 2) Teamwork 3) Conflict Management 4) Change Management 5) Basic Coaching Skills
Department heads, project team leaders, executives, and those being groomed for future leadership positions are the ideal participants for these one on one executive coaching or the executive and his team experience.

We Specialize

We concentrate on developing your number one asset, the people who lead and manage. We help them build their management and mentoring skills.

  • Coaching Skills, The One-on-One Executive Coaching Engagement: Leadership principles, techniques and tools, including personal style and value assessment, communication skills, performance management, and teamwork management, change management and conflict management are all integral parts of the coaching process. The leader is coached individually by a certified seasoned senior Coach to enhance his own personal skills and leadership abilities. The one-on-one executive coaching process is a stand-alone program.
  • Team Engagements, the Executive and His Team: If your organization prefers to take the next step, we provide a team leadership executive program. In this program, the senior coach facilitates team sessions for the executive and his team members of peers or direct reports.

Jim Withers has created a set of developmental and teaching processes that are practical and useful. The leadership engagement processes exist as a variable set of learning modules, which allow us to easily and economically respond to the exact needs of the group and organization. This includes intensive, coach facilitated, practical day-to-day business tools, and measurable feedback.
Team leadership in the one on one executive coaching program teaches techniques that include the mastery of consensus building, goal-setting, and planning methods that gain across-the-board commitment to common objectives and building effective teams. Team process skills such as meeting planning, goal-setting, problem solving, creative thinking, decision-making, and task delegation are also taught using real time business problems with a certified senior Coach coaching the activity throughout the process in support of the executive leader.
Again, J.D.Withers and Associates sees the team engagement as the next logical step for the organization’s development and works with both the executive leader and his team to develop a more cohesive, well-organized team unit.

Why We Are Different

  • We are business people concerned about people in business. We are not health care specialists, therapists, academics, nor psychologists. Our focus and our expertise involve human performance in the demanding and stressful world of business. In short, we help executives and managers improve their performance with a direct one-on-one executive coaching program.
  • The senior coaches are certified to give assessments as Certified Innermetrix Consultants, Certified Behavior Consultants, The TTI Group, and as Certified Myers Briggs Profile Indicator Providers. These coaches all have years of training from a variety of backgrounds and coaching certification groups.
  • The results from the assessments allow us to analyze the learning and working styles of the key executive or the leader of the group. These assessments can also be used to show the key elements within the executive’s team. From this process we can design the curriculum to improve teamwork and conflict management skills. The team process is a dynamic one that shows the strengths and challenges of any particular team.
  • The assessments, the in-depth needs analysis and individualized curriculum are designed to address areas of strengths and challenges and developmental needs of the executive and/or his team. The curriculum is totally flexible and can be adjusted at any point in the process to better facilitate learning and outcomes.
  • The coaching process and learning modules have been part of many learning experiences. They are proven and have been refined over the years into practical, workable solutions-directed tools that really are effective and that can be used right away. In this way, we maximize both learning effectiveness and delivery efficiency.
  • There are no canned learning programs. The curriculum consists of basic coaching skills, leadership, and teamwork as well as conflict and change management.
  • This process is a learning process, not a training event. Learning is a process that comes from within using real time business issues led by qualified senior executive coaches.
  • We teach leaders to become coaches within their own organizations and to develop others into coaches.
  • Our team process utilizes the executive and/or his team’s business problems identified by the leader and group, and not simulated situations.
  • Expected outcomes and measures of success are identified in conjunction with the organization before the coaching process begins.
  • Metric deliverables are established at the front end with measurable results and feedback provided to the organization at the conclusion of the engagement.
